Root Canals

Root canal therapy is performed in order to restore a tooth to health when damage is so progressed that it extends to the center of the tooth where the chamber of blood vessels and nerves is located. With profound anesthesia so that the tooth feels no pain, intricate instruments are used to remove the dead and infected pulp material from the canal inside a tooth root. Once completed, the hollow canal space is then filled with a material that seals the tooth and helps resolve any persistent infection.
